We had a great summer with our campers this year! While our Pre-K and Kindergarten group enjoyed everything from Science to Baking to How to be a Super Hero, our younger campers learned about Dinosaurs, celebrated the world of Disney and became Pirates, Princesses and Rock Stars. Camp would not have been half as much fun without our wonderful and very popular counselors. They really are what makes camp so much fun and that is why I have to give a huge thank you to the following teens for all their help: David Seiden, Julie Kramer, Alex Kirby, Jonah Silverman, Josh Silverman, Evan Penn, Bryan Penn, Josh Sorkin, Olivia Klee, Zach Vexler, Jordan Bishcoff, Jamie Jackson, Paige Jackson, Jenna Ursaner, Tyler Rosenbluth, Lili and Sophie Barocas, Ryan Heidish, Jacob Orban, Rachel Quinn, and Lauren Shur. These counselors are Rock Stars to our preschoolers and teachers! I also would like to thank our wonderful teachers Robyn Jackson, Shari Ursaner, Lori Lavella, Rachael Seiden, and Jill Rosenbluth for all their hard work. Our campers get an abundance of love and support from these wonderful ladies and are parents can leave their children with ease knowing what good hands their children are in with these teachers! Because them and a few others (Carla Birnbaum, Doug Konkel and Rebecca Gordon) I was able to enjoy a couple of vacations this summer without worrying about the preschool. We are very excited about our GLTP staff this year, which is team of devoted, loving and passionate women who are committed to nurturing and educating our youngest learners. This year we have four new members joining this team and we couldn’t be any happier or prouder that they have chosen to join our staff. They are Sarah Lint, Lisa Winokur, Marci Bass and Amy Weiss. These ladies all come with a wealth of knowledge and experience in education and have brought some new, fresh ideas and enthusiasm to our preschool. This 2014-2015 preschool year is starting off with a bang! Because of the generous and overwhelming support of our Synagogue families and friends, our Pre-K students will all enjoy significant discounts on their tuition due to the GASSO scholarships we were able to offer. A special thanks to Stephen Klee, Doug Konkel and Daniel Moskowitz for working so diligently on getting people to divert those tax dollars to help out the preschool! I know I speak for many when I say how appreciative I and our preschool families are to this synagogue and their support! We have very limited spots left in the preschool. If you know of anyone looking to send their children to the best preschool around, please have them contact Amy Cox at 770-777-4009 or at firstname.lastname@example.org.
